Thank You For Your Business (2007). Video by Mollie Moser. This multimedia presentation came about during a collaboration with Mollie Moser (designer, video artist) at the University of Louisville. It presents an obvious, yet subtly crafted, social commentary relating to customer service. There are several recordings of customer service calls, Jet Blue CEOs and dial tones. Don’t forget the hold music.
Dixie Highway (2007-8). This is a song/performance about travel set to a poignant and at times hilarious text by poet José Ballesteros (long time collaborating friend of mine).
Performance at Hartford Art School, April 2008. Matt Sargent (guitars, effects), Christian Gentry (vocals, keyboards and computer), Peter Van Zandt Lane (computer)
Crepuscular(2011). Unfortunately the awesome bass, Steven Hrycelak, is cut out of frame. Camera must have got bumped.
riff(s) and/or transfiguration(s)(2011) Captures some of the theatricality you don’t see when you just hear the piece.
Corps Sonore(2011). Incredible playing by Bill Solomon.
Great pieces, Gentry!!! (BTW – Is that Ben’s hand and his violin..??)
