A Piece for Several Instruments (or a futile attempt to explain the magical powers of nothingness) (for chamber orchestra) (2009). This piece was composed for the Wellesley Composer’s Conference in the summer of 2009. I took the occasion to write a piece for what I would call a “super chamber group.” There is something that is both nonsensical and mystical about the piece. Hence, the title which is a program note in and of itself.
